Akira Health Acquired by Telus

Toronto – August 20, 2019

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On July 31, 2019, Telus Health acquired Akira Health (“Akira”), a portfolio company of the GreenSky Accelerator Fund I, for undisclosed terms.  The GreenSky Accelerator Fund I had invested in Akira in 2017.

Akira’s virtual care platform was built with a vision to bring world-class, affordable healthcare to Canadians, while dramatically improving both the patient and provider experience. The acquisition will give Akira’s customers access to Telus Health’s offerings, as well as products and solutions for insurers, employees, and employers that will be co-developed by Akira and Telus Health.

GreenSky would like to congratulate John Mozas, Dan Pawliw, and the rest of the team at Akira.
