GreenSky Ventures is excited to share that its portfolio company, Mission Control, has been awarded a $4.7 million contract from the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) as part of the initial phase of the development of a Canadian lunar utility rover.
The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry, announced the award of the contract to Mission Control, as well as two other Canadian companies, MDA Space and Canadensys Aerospace Corp, who will each receive $4.7 million over the next 18 months to advance the development of the new rover. These contracts are part of a $1.3 billion program that was launched by the Canadian government to support exploration of the moon.
Building on more than a decade of expertise in space technology, Mission Control will play a foundational role in what promises to be Canada’s next major contribution to space exploration. GreenSky Managing Partner Mike List said, “GreenSky is proud to have led Mission Control’s last two funding rounds. With this win, Mission Control has cemented its place as a key player in Canada’s evolving space technology sector.”
