Major Milestones Achieved by GreenSky Portfolio Company Mission Control Space Services

January 3, 2026

Toronto, ON – December 23, 2025

GreenSky Ventures is pleased to announce significant recent milestones achieved by Mission Control Space Services, a portfolio company of GreenSky Fund V and Fund VI, reflecting continued execution and validation across government, scientific, and space agency partners.

Mission Control has been awarded a contract of up to $2M from the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) to develop an advanced autonomous science instrument for the Canadian Lunar Utility Rover. The initial Phase 0 award will support the development of iSPI+, an AI-enabled thermal infrared instrument designed to autonomously identify, prioritize, and collect high-value scientific data on the lunar surface. This technology represents a step-change in how lunar science and rover operations can be conducted under constrained bandwidth and low-latency requirements. Further details are available here.

In addition, Mission Control has announced a new collaboration with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), supporting JPL’s Federated Autonomous MEasurement (FAME) demonstration through data from Mission Control’s Persistence satellite mission. The collaboration advances the use of onboard AI, autonomous decision-making, and orchestrated cross-tasking for responsive and intelligent space observing systems. Further details are available here.

Mission Control’s selection by the CSA for lunar rover design activities, announced in July here, as well as this new selection for autonomous instrument development, alongside active collaboration with NASA JPL, positions the company as a critical contributor to next-generation lunar and orbital missions. These achievements reinforce Canada’s leadership in autonomous space technologies and highlight Mission Control’s role in enabling faster, more adaptive, and more cost-effective exploration.

GreenSky Ventures is proud to support Mission Control as it continues to scale its Spacefarer™ and Spacefarer AI™ platforms and deliver mission-critical autonomy software and systems for applications on Earth, the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
