Bot Food Raises $1.5M as Every AI Company Races to Own Your Personal Context

Led by GreenSky Ventures, the round backs Bot Food’s plan for one context library that works across every AI product

TORONTO, October 30, 2026 – Bot Food has announced it has closed a $1.5 million pre-seed round led by GreenSky Ventures Fund VI, and will use the funding for go-to-market testing. Bot Food is building one central library of a person’s context that every AI product they use can draw on, collected and managed by RaLHF (pronounced “Ralph”), its expert context assistant.

Context is a proven amplifier of intelligence, the more an AI product knows about the person it is working for, the smarter it seems and the more useful it becomes. When Workato, a VC-backed start-up that has raised US $415M, connected its AI product to the company’s own systems, employee use of AI products jumped 700% in 60 days.

Every major AI company has reached the same conclusion and is racing to collect personal context, from Google’s Gemini reading across Gmail, Calendar, Photos and Maps to ChatGPT’s self-updating memory and the private index of your messages and email that Apple’s new Siri builds. Meta’s Muse, a personal assistant that passed 5 million downloads in its first three weeks, and OpenAI’s Dots, launched September 29, go further still. Each one also uses that context to keep you from leaving, because what you build up inside one AI product stays locked there, under that company’s control rather than yours.

That leaves people maintaining a separate profile inside every AI product they use, with little ability to see what each one holds or to correct it when it is wrong. Today’s models reason brilliantly, but organizing years of a person’s history and recalling the right detail at the moment it matters is a separate discipline, one the industry now calls context engineering. Bot Food’s view is that this work belongs in a single, open library that the person owns and every AI product can draw on, rather than scattered across competing labs.

RaLHF, Bot Food’s context assistant, does that context engineering for each customer. It signs into the apps people use, from shopping and travel to streaming, food and bills, organizes what it finds into a private library, keeps it fresh and feeds the right context to whichever AI product the person is working with. Customers can see and edit everything in their library and decide which AI products get access to it.

Bot Food was founded by Ian Collins and Nitin Singhal, who previously built and sold Wysdom AI, an AI evaluation platform for customer service bots, to Calabrio, a Thoma Bravo portfolio company, in 2024. Running AI deployments at 20 large enterprises showed them how much of an AI product’s value comes from the context it is given, and they have since been joined by Brendan Stennett, co-founder and longtime CTO of ThinkData Works, as CTO.

“The age of personal assistants has arrived, there will be many, and every one will be powered by a massive amount of deep, rich personal context,” said Ian Collins, CEO of Bot Food. “Bot Food gives you one place to collect it all, keep control, decide who gets access and eventually monetize that personal graph.”

“We invest behind exceptional, proven operators tackling problems they understand firsthand, and Ian and Nitin embody that,” said Jeff Brunet, Managing Partner at GreenSky Ventures. “We look to invest in the infrastructure other products end up depending on, and a personal context layer that works across every AI product is exactly that kind of company. Pair that with a team who’s lived this problem before, and it’s an easy one for us to back.”
