Pulse Industrial announces a significant investment from SDTC

February 17, 2022

GreenSky Capital is pleased to announce that Pulse Industrial Inc. (“Pulse Industrial”) which uses IoT and AI to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve safety in industrial plants, has received CAD$3.5M in a new round of non-dilutive funding from Sustainable Development Technology Canada (“SDTC”). With this investment, the Waterloo-based Pulse Industrial will attempt to improve its data processing system to provide better analysis for steam trap leaks and prevent costly downtime on manufacturing and other industrial floors. Said GreenSky Managing Partner Michael List, “The support from SDTC is not only a welcome endorsement of the Pulse Industrial technology, but will provide critical support for Pulse as it begins to rapidly scale its sales and manufacturing activities.”

Pulse Industrial is amongst the 16 ground-breaking Canadian companies that have recently received a total investment of CAD$52.3M from SDTC. According to SDTC, these companies were chosen for their excellence in developing and deploying new technologies with the potential to transform the environmental and economic prosperity of Canada. Pulse Industrial was also a graduate of SDTC seed program.

GreenSky Accelerator Fund III, one of GreenSky Capital’s affiliated venture funds, participated in Pulse Industrial’s US$1.9M financing round in 2021.
